Ward two- Lalghati, Bhopal

By shraddha desai

Vikas Nahi to Vote nahi, Ankh khol kar dekho aur kaam karo, Bijli, sadak, nali aur Pani Ka vaada pura karo- Jain nagarvasi (No development, no vote, open your eyes and then work, fulfill the promise of providing electricity, roads, nullah and water supply- Jain residents)

Such poster can be seen in Jain Nagar of CTO, ward number two, Lalghati. Bhopal has seventy wards each consisting of some or the other problems and ward number two is no different than other wards.

Jain residents have therefore applied posters asking for the fulfillment of the promises made by the administration concerned. Only at the time of elections corporators make fake promises but soon after the completion of elections the promises are not fulfilled. It is due to this reason that the residents are compelled to put on the posters outside their houses. The ward is lagging with respect to improper roads, no water connections and unavailability of street lights.
On the other hand, many colonies in ward two are private colonies as most of the colonies have not been handed over to Municipal Corporation. The colonies like Vitthal Nagar, Jain Nagar phase-1 and phase -2, Janki Nagar.

But residents over here are facing problems as the houses do not consist of water connection due to which every second day the residents have to call tanker. This leads to jostling and fights amongst the people. The fights have many times resulted in serious injuries too.

Not only this but due to the improper roads the residents face problems especially at night as the street lights are also missing. This again leads to accidents. Nullahs are also not constructed over here and the sevage facilities are improper. With so many problems in the ward and yet nobody is concerned.

The corporator says that the colonies under ward two are private colonies and therefore nothing can be done. With this, the residents over here are deprived of the basic amenities.

We are facing problems with water scarcity as we are not having water connections in our houses. There is no facility of appropriate nullah and street lights are also missing. We have complained to Corporator but nothing has been done in this regard until now.- Naseem Khan, a resident, Nayapura Lalghati,

we have to call the tanker for water as the municipal corporation has not provided us water connection. Every second day we have to call tanker and we are facing problems with water scarcity.- Asha Sharma

we have no facility for the disposal of waste and municipal corporation people never come regularly for picking up the waste. Indra Karoliya, a resident.
The work over the construction of nullah is going on but this ward is lagging in appropriate facilities for throwing the waste. We make complaints to the corporation but no concern is paid towards our basic facilities.-Meena Rawat, a resident of Ramanand Nagar.

We have to call tanker as there is no water connection in our house. Since the plan of Narmada has been introduced we are deprived of water connections. People jostle with each other and fight for filling water with the coming of water. In fact there is nothing for the disposal of waste.- Sarita Mishra.

Since many colonies under my ward do not come under Municipal Corporation therefore I cannot do anything. Thesea re the private colonies but if   they come under Municipal Corporation then only I can proceed further. For the disposal of waste I had asked for around 70 containers but its been a year now and I have not been allotted even a single container.- Krishna Mohan Soni, Corporator, Ward II.

flower vendors day out !!!!!

By Shraddha Desai
The flower vendors in front of Jyoti talkies are happy as the month of February has brought an increase to their business. With the coming of February the purchase of flowers is more as compared to other days.
Valentines Day is soon approaching fast and with this people have started gifting flowers to their special ones. As compared to usual days, occasions provide acceleration to the business of these flower vendors. Although the rates of flowers have increased this month but it hardly matters to the people as Valentines Day matters to them the most.
As compared to usual days the rate for a single rose has increased presently. One single flower would cost you Rs 10 while the same flower would cost Rs 5 in an ordinary day. A bunch of flower consisting of 20 roses would cost you Rs 120 while a bouquet would cost Rs 125.
Bandu, a flower vendor said that, Large numbers of flowers are in demand as Valentines Day is soon approaching fast. One single flower is of Rs 10 while a bunch of roses would cost Rs 150. The rates would differ with different flowers.
Guddu Goswami, another flower vendor said that, As compared to occasion the other days we do not find customers but with the coming of occasions the sale of flowers increase. These days we are acquiring profit in our business.
Suraj Saini said that, During off season the rates are normal. This year the rates have increased but in case if the customer bargains then we mix various color flowers and then sell them at a down price.
Presently these vendors are having a business of Rs 2000 a day but in ordinary days the target is hard to achieve.  Not more than a sum of Rs 900 is earned by these vendors on ordinary days.
The business remains very slow in the other days but occasionally the flower vendors gain good acceleration in their business. Due to the inflation people avoid purchasing flowers but occasionally people do not mind purchasing expensive flowers.
Vendors anxiously wait for occasions like Valentines Day, Diwali, Basant Panchami and various other occasions where flowers are in great demand.
It is always not necessary that the material purchased by the vendors would be sold completely as whole business depends upon the coming of the occasions or otherwise poor vendors keep waiting for the customers whole day long.

A RESEARCH

A medicine usually consists of a multiple therapy drug which leads to several side effects as a result of its heavy dosage. But if a medicine with a single therapy drug is provided it would be more effective leading to no side effects.
A teacher by profession Dr Thirumagal B is researching for a medicine that would be effective over the bacteria’s
responsible for cough and cold. Presently the medicines with high dosage are sold in the market leading to various side effects but with the help of this research it would be easy to have a medicine that would consist of a single drug dose.
Thirumagal B said that,” The dosage of the medicine has to be calculated yet as the research is half way through. The research is performed over a raw drug which would be further purified. The intention behind the research is to avoid the side effects that occur as a result of high dose of medicines. I have no commercial interest but the research would provide a medicine that is effective over micro organisms.”
Firstly a research over first generation antibiotics was performed and then complex with metals. This increased the anti bacterial activity with two gram negative bacteria’s which was found to be ineffective using original drug.
The idea came to her as she found that other medicines lead to side effects like hair loss and other diseases. The research would help to find out a medicine that would be effective with a single therapy drug and would lead to no side effects.
The research is being performed by her under the guidance of Dr Suman Malik, Sadhu Vaswani College who is assistant professor and department head. Since, Thirumagal B does not has any commercial interest therefore the results of the research would be handed over to RNA which would further provide a final form top the research in the form of a medicine. Presently, the stages of research are being published through the medium of research journals and once the research results are found positive RNA would form the medicine.

Swami ji's visit to Bhopal

Swami Udit Chaitnya ji, who delivered his discourses in Aiyappa temple on Wednesday and Thursday, has also delivered his discourses at various places in India and abroad as well. His explanation of Bhagvatham helps people to lead a successful life. He believes that the success of life is hidden within an individual.
A person can decide to be happy or disappointed by his own deeds. Explaining the secret of success to life Swami Ji quotes examples from Geeta. Shraddha Desai  from The Hitavada talked to Swami Ji regarding the factors influencing him to speak over the subject and his upcoming visits to different countries:
Here are some excerpts from an interview:
Q) Which are the places you have visited until now for delivering your discourses?
Ans.  I have travelled in both India and Abroad. In India almost all the cities like Bhopal, Kolkata, Delhi, Bombay, Chennai and almost all metropolitan cities. In abroad like America, Toronto, Canada, U.k and then I would be going to African countries and event the Gulf countries.
Q) In foreign countries you might be delivering your discourses in English and in India it is Malayalam but why not in Hindi?
Ans. At present I am focusing in Malayalam because first of all we have to start from where we belong and since I belong to Kerala therefore I want that first the malayalee people should be elevated. Once they are elevated I would proceed further in the second stage of transmission.
Q) In your disclosures you have mentioned regarding Body, mind and intellectual of a person? What is the theme behind the subject?
Ans. Since my childhood until now, I have been extremely fortunate to be surrounded by good people and my association with those people has led me in the direction to think and transform an individuals mind. In our education system the intellectual development has been given much importance. The mind is powerful than the intellectual as the mind contains all the emotions. Recently, in the news we heard that a teacher from Kolkata beat a child so this was mainly due to the mental imbalance.
Q) What according to you is the way to control over an individuals anger?
Ans. For this the person himself has to realize that why he or she gets anger. When a person expects something and does not acquires what he or she wants then the person becomes emotionally corrupted and therefore the imbalanced mind expresses the anger immediately. So what is required to do is that instead of getting angry over the situation a person must try to avoid the creation of negative energies in the surroundings. A person must remember that by getting angry he or she creates enemy and losing friends. So, one must not be angry.
Q) What are your futures plans regarding your discourses?
Ans. Well, not from the point of delivering discourse but my future plan is to change myself so that we can change others and this will lead to changing the whole world. When I first change myself to a positive person then we can change the country as well.
